ClassicGameWorld is a free, non-commercial website dedicated to the golden age of arcade and home consoles — the 1980s and 1990s. We document and let you replay, directly in your browser, more than 2,500 classic games spanning Capcom CPS1, SNK Neo Geo MVS and the Nintendo FC / NES platforms, from household names like The King of Fighters, Street Fighter II and Metal Slug to many forgotten gems.
For each game we aim to provide a clear background write-up, platform and developer information, gameplay notes, cover artwork and an in-browser play button — no download or plugin required.
The Site uses modern browsers and WebAssembly to run open-source emulation cores (EmulatorJS with libretro cores such as FBNeo and mame2003_plus) locally on your device. Everything is rendered on your own machine; our server only delivers the page and its files. The interface is available in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.
ClassicGameWorld is maintained by retro-gaming enthusiasts for nostalgia and learning purposes. It is an unofficial fan site: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SNK, Capcom, Nintendo or any original publisher. All game titles, trademarks, artwork and characters are the property of their respective owners.
